At Pioneer Packaging, we can help you become empowered to develop the right environmentally conscious package.
We’re excited about how we’re changing our custom packaging to be more earth-friendly. Our creative team is coming up with cool ideas on how to use materials that are kinder to our planet. In our printing department, we’re using recycled paperboard more and more. We don’t have to give up looking good to be green!
Instead of old-style plastics, we’re using new recyclable materials. This means less waste, because these materials can be used over and over again. We’re helping to cut down plastic pollution, which is really important for the earth.
Pioneer Packaging is using materials like biodegradable and recyclable foil. Even the clear windows on some of our packaging are now made from biodegradable cello. This means we’re using less plastic and reducing our carbon footprint (that’s the amount of CO2 we release into the atmosphere).
We’re using soy-based inks and water-based coatings in our printing presses. They’re safer for the environment and for the people who work for us. It shows that we’re serious about making every part of our work as green as possible.
We are continually striving to embrace the growing demand for sustainable custom packaging by becoming more creative with eco-friendly and sustainable custom packaging ideas and materials, all of which require continuous education and application of the newest technological advancements, starting with the increasing use of:
- Recycled paperboard in our printing department (35%, 55%, 90%, and 100% PCW)
- Recyclable materials in our thermoformed plastics department (APET, HIPS, PVC, and RPET, all of which can be recycled, some made from recycled plastic)
- Specialty foil materials which are biodegradable and can be recycled
- Biodegradable cello for window material
- Soy-based inks and water-based coatings in our presses
Other areas in which we are advancing:
- Developing and implementing a complete, committed business recycling plan
- Dedication to reducing our carbon footprint.
